Gulf Biodiversity Commitment
From the moment we begin planning for a new project, we engage teams to
study the selected project location. All of our power plants are situated on industrial land to minimize any
impact on forested or natural conservation areas. We study the number and types of plants and animals in the
area around our power plants at the earliest stages of planning and adjust our design to accommodate the
local environment. Throughout all phases of construction and operation, we consistently monitor the health
of the nearby flora and fauna in conjunction with our emissions and waste monitoring to ensure that our
activities are not affecting the local environment. Gulf produces environmental reports every six months and
conducts in-depth studies every few years to identify long-term trends in changes in biodiversity. We also
run educational programs for students in the local area to teach them about the importance of biodiversity
and taking care of the environment.
