As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we are working to ensure that our operations create as little negative impact on the environment as possible. All Gulf energy projects conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and receive approval prior to beginning construction. Our engineers and technicians work round the clock to ensure our plants are operating at the highest efficiency so that they create as little waste as possible. Compared to the national average and environmental regulation limits, our power plants release fewer and cleaner emissions and higher quality water. We have also implemented a Zero Waste to Landfill program at our power plants, with plans for other waste reduction programs in development. As a result of our strong commitment to maintaining such high environmental standards, Gulf is proud to report that no punitive measures have been levied against the Company as a result of non-compliance with environmental laws or regulations.
