On 19 September 2016, Gulf Group received certificates of honor from General Surasak Kanchanarat, of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for Global Warming Reduction Campaign at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center Ballroom. The awards recognized Plant Managers of GKP1-2, GNLL, GCRN, GPG and were accepted by Executive Vice President, Mr.Tanon Tantisunthorn, on their behalf. The campaign was organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) to honor entrepreneurs and other related sectors for creating an example of how to manage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Gulf Group’s power plants received the following awards:
