Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited or GULF is running a volunteer activity booth as part of an event to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 88th birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on 12 August 2020, inviting all Thais to carry on Her Majesty’s royal wishes to give importance to the conservation of Thai arts and crafts so they remain an everlasting part of Thai society and to promote sustainable entrepreneurship for people in local communities.

On this occasion, GULF is hosting a jasmine tea workshop. The jasmine flower, the symbol of Mother’s Day, is an auspicious plant and yields a pleasant fragrance. The tea is scented with the aroma of jasmine blossoms and helps boost energy. A representative from the Nong Saeng New Agricultural Learning Center and Demonstration Farm, located at one of the company’s power projects in Saraburi province, will also host a jasmine tree grafting workshop. At the end of the workshop, scions and instructions will be given out to participants so that they can practice the technique at home. Additionally, GULF has collaborated with Ban Tha Tum Women’s Entrepreneurship Group from Kaeng Khoi district, Saraburi province, a group that GULF has supported for over ten years, to demonstrate how to make Ka Nhom Tian (stuffed dough pyramids) and distribute the recipe to all participants to use as a starting point for their own businesses.
